Middle School Ministry Associate

Position Description

The Middle School Ministry Associate will help lead the middle school ministry by assisting leadership, staff and volunteers in a variety of ways. The position is split between administrative responsibilities and a personal ministry with students. The primary administrative responsibilities are event and retreat planning, oversight of the ministry’s finances, and communication to leaders, students and parents. The associate’s personal ministry will be to middle school girls and high school leaders and will involve relationship building, evangelism, and discipleship. This is a full time position with benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Development of ministry goals and vision.
  • Logistics, scheduling and administration of ministry events: Sunday morning worship, retreats and trips, and weekly youth group.
  • Communication throughout the ministry: preparing and sending of flyers, newsletters, emails and reminders to staff, students, and parents as needed.
  • Relationship building, evangelism, and spiritual development with girls in the ministry..
  • Personal and weekly discipleship with high school student leaders, geared towards preparing them and aiding them in their ministry and leadership.

  • Small group leadership and discipleship skills
  • University graduation
  • Organizational skills and a strong level of attention to detail
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Worship Arts Administrative Associate

Position Description

Responsible for securing the ongoing stability and growth of the Worship Arts ministry by assisting the Worship Pastor, the Instrumental Director, and the Contemporary Worship Director in establishing ministerial goals and executing ministry materials, programs and events. This is a full time job with benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Oversight, scheduling and administration of designated meetings and events which includes the Choir and Orchestra Workshop, the Christmas Concert for Charleston, and special events (Ex. Good Friday Service, Choir & Orchestra Socials, etc)
  • Assistance in preparing and sending of emails and reminders to ministry leaders and members
  • Assistance in coordinating logistics for Sunday Worship Services (Ex. Baby Dedications, Communion, etc.)
  • Preparation of needed elements for Sunday Worship Services such as screens, bulletins, and music
  • Responsible for the organization and upkeep of music libraries
  • Collaboration with communication staff to maintain ministry website

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements
  • A passionate love for the Lord and a desire to serve in support ministries
  • University graduation in administration or a related field preferred
  • Individual must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience that has developed skill competencies including correspondence and clerical functions
  • Possess a high degree of technical expertise in clerical functions
  • A functional knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • A functional knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated ability regarding discretion and professionalism
  • Exhibit excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven success with team work and consensus building
  • Overseeing projects or programs
  • Basic knowledge of music theory a big plus but not required
  • Organizing own work, coordinating projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction
  • Communicating effectively with co-workers, church members, representatives of other Para-church organizations and others sufficient to exchange or convey information.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Full Time Financial Associate

Position Description

Responsible for assisting and securing the ongoing stability and growth of the organizational ministries by effectively executing the organizations financial transactions. The incumbent assists in capturing all aspects of the revenue and expense transactions to ensure organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs, mission, and strategic plan of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Records the financial transaction process
  • Records revenue through data entry and supervising of all related acti
  • Oversees, prepares, and analyzes standard and ad hoc financial reports required for responsible fiscal management
  • Processes payroll, taxes, benefits, and related transactions
  • Manages fixed asset module and related data
  • Assesses and analyses the financial, administrative, and operational implications of proposed actions and decisions by individual areas and departments on the whole of the organization
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A passionate love for the Lord and a desire to serve in support ministries
  • Individual must possess a minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience that has developed skill competencies including financial management, planning and financial reporting analysis.
  • Possess a high degree of technical expertise in accounting
  • Thinks creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with internal and external groups
