Position Summary
Create and execute a written development plan to increase giving towards the church’s Legacy Fund and other giving campaigns (including but not limited to Palmetto Christian Academy (PCA)’s annual fund), as well as foster a culture of generosity among the church’s members both towards the tithe and “above and beyond” the tithe.  

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, recommend, and execute (where applicable) strategies for fostering a culture of Biblical generosity and stewardship
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with potential major donors, PCA alumni, church families, and PCA parents to help connect where God might be leading them to the opportunities that exist within the church and school
  • Organize and lead donor events and campaigns to increase awareness and involvement in the Legacy Fund
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing and sustaining the Legacy Fund including the establishment of measurable goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina to ensure proper investment of the Legacy Fund
  • Lead the execution of all financial campaigns ensuring they are well-coordinated and successfully executed
  • Collaborate proactively with the communications department to plan direct mail, digital marketing, and other communication/marketing strategies to promote giving
  • Where appropriate, identify, seek, and manage other contribution streams (i.e., grants, sponsorships, etc.)

Position Summary
East Cooper Baptist’s pastoral residency provides a unique opportunity for prospective pastors to gain supervised ministry experience and seminary credit in a full-time, local church setting.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Residents will serve in a variety of ministerial and administrative capacities under the supervision of ECBC’s pastoral staff.
  • Residents will participate in a weekly preaching lab, where they will give live teaching, receive immediate feedback, and study the essentials of teaching and preaching in a practical format.
  • Residents will complete a variety of specific pastoral experiences, such as hospital visitation, preaching and teaching, and discipleship of church members.
  • Residents will take in person classes on pastoral ministry and preaching hosted at ECBC with the option for seminary credit.

Job Title: Full-Time Campus Security Officer
Status: 30+ Hours per week during school year (Aug-May)

Position Summary
The Campus Security Officer supports and facilitates the educational process within the Palmetto Christian Academy campus by providing a safe and secure environment and establishing meaningful relationships with students and staff. This Officer will work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel and community agencies to support teaching and learning in the school. The Officer will patrol the ECBC/PCA property to protect students, staff, and visitors from harm and prevent loss of school and church property resulting from criminal activity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Enforce campus rules and regulations to help define and maintain a respectful code of conduct by being a positive role model.
  • Patrol school and church property for suspicious activity, unauthorized persons on campus via camera surveillance and in person patrol.
  • Work closely with the Director of Campus Security to foster a better understanding of the law enforcement function to maintain a secure learning environment.
  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned facilities to include buildings, parking lots, playgrounds; operate school equipment to include alarm systems, surveillance equipment, and vehicles during and after school hours.
  • Take action to protect against unwanted intruders. Can detain persons suspected of delinquent behavior when necessary to protect students, staff and school property.
  • Have a “Partner” attitude as exemplified by the PCA Handbook.

Candidate must possess at least an Associates’ degree from an accredited university and have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a traditional law enforcement capacity or church security team capacity. The preferred candidate will have previous experience working in a school setting and must be certified (or be willing to become certified) through the SLED Safeguard Security Program. The teacher partners closely with Middle School English Language Arts and History faculty to reinforce writing expectations connected to classroom assignments, while explicitly teaching foundational writing skills, editing strategies, and proper citation practices. Additionally, in 7th grade, students complete a full research paper, guiding them through the process of conducting research, outlining, drafting, and revising their work.   • Prepare both high school and middle school choirs for special performances such as for nursing home residents, church bible study groups, and grade-level events.
  • Work closely with MS Drama teacher by providing and supervising talent for spring
    musical.
  • Work closely with Band Director in organizing joint performances.
  • Work closely with production team during rehearsals and performances.
  • Assist with auditions and training for chapel worship team musicians.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Education from an accredited university and have a minimum of one year of experience in teaching choir to middle and/or high school students, preferably in a Christian School environment.
  • Must have a credible profession of faith and testimony, and be actively involved in a
    local church, as this person will serve as a role model in attitude, speech, and actions for the school community. The ability to articulate his/her Christian worldview and philosophy of Kingdom education is critical.
  • Knowledge of overall operation of vocal music program in a school setting.
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures for the fine arts department.
  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attend faculty meetings and devotions.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Verascross software for student management.

Position Summary
Palmetto Christian Academy is seeking a full-time Upper School (grades 7-12) English teacher who can teach English courses with a distinctly Biblical worldview integrated throughout the curriculum and instruction. The candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in English, Language Arts, Literature or education. The preferred candidate will possess an ACSI or South Carolina teaching certificate and 1-3 years of teaching experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Planning, creating and implementing English lessons that promote an engaging, positive, and interactive learning environment.
  • Prepare, administer and evaluate tests and classroom assignments following curriculum guidelines.
  • Work closely with Upper School Instructional Coach to deliver approved curriculum.
  • Work closely with Upper School Instructional Coach to review textbooks.
  • Perform administrative duties under the direction of the Upper School Principal to include grading, discipline, attendance, dress code management, lunch/hall/dismissal supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Language Arts, Literature, or secondary education from an accredited university. The preferred candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in teaching English to high school students, preferably in a Christian School environment.
  • Be willing to work toward an ACSI teacher certification.
