Position Summary
Provide administrative assistance to the Communications and Technology Directors by assisting in the planning and execution of small and large scale projects, communicating with church staff on database needs, and helping to maintain database and departmental tasks. This position requires the assistant to be available and organized, work excellently with other departments, and in general possess good interpersonal and problem solving skills. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support directors in daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that are professionally related.
  • Help to manage a project budget and gather quotes and pricing for project needs.
  • Plan, manage, and support database projects.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with staff about database updates and needs.
  • Provide training for staff as church database needs arise.
  • Support other ministry areas when requested and time is available.

Job Title: Groups Pastor

Position Summary
The Groups Pastor oversees the development and maintenance of Christian community through small groups at East Cooper Baptist Church (ECBC). This would include the overall vision and implementation of ECBC Groups. The mission of ECBC Groups is to bring our adult community into small group gatherings for the purpose of applying the Word of God and building relationships that intentionally encourage the passionate pursuit of Christ. Additionally, this position assists with other pastoral responsibilities as needed. For the right candidate, ECBC is willing to make this a Director position until the candidate has been able to complete the ordination process successfully. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Community Groups, Man2Man, ReEngage and other groups as assigned
  • Set vision and annual goals for groups according to ECBC’s overall strategy and vision.
  • Manage expenses within the approved annual budget.
  • Recruit and develop group leaders.
  • Regularly meet with group leaders to help assist/align their respective groups with the overall vision of ECBC.
  • Provide biblical content, resources, and training materials for groups.
  • Help connect guests and new members to groups.
  • Plan and implement annual group leader training.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • M.Div or equivalent (desired)
  • 4-8 years of ministry experience
  • Proficient understanding of small group and interpersonal dynamics 
  • Proficient knowledge of Christian resources for group study
  • Proven leadership skills in team building and management
  • Numerous projects/tasks are completed in a timely manner without assistance
  • Complete ownership of work; fully responsible for final product

Job Title: Kids Ministry Assistant
Reports To: Kids Ministry Director
Status: Non-Exempt/Part Time

Position Summary: 
The role of Kids Ministry Assistant is to provide organizational and administrative support to the Kids Ministry. The Kids Ministry Assistant supports ministry efforts on a weekly basis and assists with special events of the ministry. The Kids Ministry Assistant is responsible for organizing and structuring ministry resources and volunteers. This position is for 20 hours per week at $15 to $20 per hour based upon experience. 

Working Relationships
Works directly with the Kids Ministry Director and Kids Ministry Associate, Nursery Director, Next Gen Team, other staff members, and Kid Min Volunteers. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Assist with Sunday morning set up and clean up to include set up and break down of classroom supplies and kiosks
  • Keep stock and organization of ministry resources and spaces
  • Assist the Kids Ministry Associate with curriculum, resources, crafts and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. 
  • Assist with various ministry activities such as Worship Wednesday, CrossWalk HangTime, ministry parties, summer camps and outreach activities. 
  • Coordinate refreshments/snacks for Sunday morning and Kids Ministry Events
    Attend weekly Kids Ministry meetings
  • Assist with recruiting volunteers 

Key Deliverables

  • Operational support of weekly Kids Ministry activities and special events.
  • Organization and stock of ministry resources. 
  • Attend and engage with kids and families at Kids Ministry events as needed

Job Title: Nursery Caregivers
Status: Part-time Hourly

Position Description
The ECBC Nursery Department desires to hire Nursery Caregivers to help with various day and evening ministry events. Workers must be at least 15 years of age and must provide previous experience caring for children. The Nursery Department will train each new Caregiver hired. The Nursery Caregiver is to provide care for the overall needs of each child in their classroom. The Nursery Caregiver is an hourly paid position. Adults $15.00 per hour and Teens $12.00 per hour.

Organizational Status
This position reports to the Nursery Director.
