Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Position Summary
This position assists pastors with the administrative aspects of their ministries. The administrative aspects of these ministries include managing budgets, assisting in the planning and execution of small and large scale events, communicating with church members and leaders within their ministries, and assisting in the creation of ideas and goals for each ministry. 


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage several ministry budgets simultaneously; including reconciling reports, filing receipts, and submitting for reimbursement and/or invoicing.
  • Plan, manage, and support large scale events, retreats, and conferences; both on and off campus
  • Plan, manage, and support weekly gatherings and classes
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with pastors, teachers, volunteers, congregation members, and coworkers
  • Support and manage Social Media pages as requested
  • Assist pastors with long range planning; including, but not limited to, room reservations, calendar submissions, making necessary support ministry requests, and submitting for publication in a timely manner.
  • Support pastors in daily, weekly, and monthly tasks both ministry and professionally related.
  • Support other ministry areas when requested and time is available.

Job Title: Communications Assistant

Position Summary
The Communications Assistant will be responsible for assisting in visual design and application, including but not limited to print material, photography, and web. As part of a larger creative team helping with Production needs as well.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer on creative projects, bringing new and fresh design ideas to fruition.
  • Develops visual design for designated requests and projects from our ministry leaders.
  • Accomplish project assignments with excellence in a timely manner.
  • Provide input in various phases of the design process.
  • Able to help with weekly communications responsibilities such as folding bulletin, setting out signage, and sending emails.
  • Serve the larger communications team needs by training to be a backup for some production roles such as lyrics and camera operation.

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Position Summary
The Finance Associate will be responsible for providing financial support services for the day-to-day transactions of the church, school, and all related ministries of East Cooper Baptist Church. This position will primarily support the Finance Team and will be cross trained on Accounts Payable and all items related to Payroll. This position is for 20 hours per week at $20 to $25 per hour based upon experience. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Cross train in all aspects of Accounts Payable
  • Provide backup and assistance for Accounts Payable, to include monitoring and maintaining credit card purchases.
  • Organize, file, and track financial documents.
  • Ensure invoices and bills are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare for and cooperate with the independent auditor as information is requested during the annual audit period
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Payroll, W2, and 1099 preparation and distribution
  • Reconciling all employee benefits to billing statements
  • Cross train in contributions, tuition receivable, and incoming funds
  • Maintain confidentiality with all financial information
  • Assist Finance Team with analyzing workflow process

Job Title: Nursery Caregivers
Status: Part-time Hourly

Position Description
The ECBC Nursery Department desires to hire Nursery Caregivers to help with various day and evening ministry events. Workers must be at least 15 years of age and must provide previous experience caring for children. The Nursery Department will train each new Caregiver hired. The Nursery Caregiver is to provide care for the overall needs of each child in their classroom. The Nursery Caregiver is an hourly paid position. Adults $15.00 per hour and Teens $12.00 per hour.

  • Work with BEMA for support as needed
  • Implement and maintain Rock RMS projects and initiatives
  • Work with ministries to provide new features and solutions in Rock RMS
  • Train staff to effectively use Rock RMS to empower ministry
  • Design and implement dataviews, reports, dashboards, workflows, and other requested tools in Rock RMS
  • Ensure reliability and usability of check-in systems
  • Manage team of Rock Master Class-trained staff to maximize their impact
  • Maintain security of Rock RMS
  • Manage event registrations, forms, surveys, communications lists, and other Rock RMS tools
  • Provide support for check-in on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings
  • Provide Tier 1 support on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings

Position Summary
This position reports to and supports pastors at the director level. This administrative assistant can best work by being organized, professional, discreet, planning ahead, working efficiently on deadline, being self-sufficient and being flexible and available to accommodate unplanned requests. This position also requires well-developed interpersonal skills; communicating well with church staff, church leaders, and members, and working well with others, leading by example and being available to help others in administrative positions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support and create weekly sermons and preaching outline from dictation; including visual supports and research as requested.
  • Support and create weekly teaching transcriptions from dictation; including printing, visual supports and research as requested.
  • Support and create weekly and monthly prayer guides from dictation; including printing, visual supports and other research as requested.   
  • Support the Senior Pastor with preparation and requests for Leadership Meetings on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Support the Senior Pastor with weekly Community Group Support; including but not limited to, creating outlines, printing, research, communication with group members, and scheduling.
    In charge of resources for the Senior Pastor. Including copying of Bible passages, book pages, blogs, secular and Christian media and opinion articles and other resources. This also includes procurement of library materials, digital media, and other items as requested.
    In charge of appointment scheduling and calendar management for the Senior Pastor. This includes day to day appointments as well as booking of travel for church-related business.
