Position Description
To assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure that the major electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and air systems are operating efficiently so that the ministry of the church can proceed unhindered.

Working Relationships
Work with the Maintenance Manager, facility personnel, pastors, teachers, and volunteers to achieve the objectives of East Cooper Baptist Church, Palmetto Christian Academy & Campus Outreach.

Roles and Responsibilities
This position will report to the Maintenance Manager and is suitable for an entry-level person who shows an aptitude for mechanical and electrical maintenance & repairs, painting, etc. The chosen candidate will be fully trained.

Position Description

Assists the building and grounds maintenance employees, contractors, and volunteers with room set-up and tear-down; room & equipment cleaning; minor painting and repairs; etc.

Position Summary
As part of the East Cooper Baptist staff, the Technology Support Analyst works on a team to ensure that we are serving our staff, members, and attendees with simple, secure, and effective technologies. The Technology Support Analyst will work to support and maintain technology systems across our church and school to boost efficiency in the work environment as well as meet ministry and administrative needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for East Cooper Baptist Church and Palmetto Christian Academy staff
  • Able to learn new technology systems quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work with MacOS and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to work across Google Workplace products
  • Maintain all computers and equipment using a help desk ticket management system
  • Keep inventory of end-user peripherals such as external monitors, keyboards, etc.
  • Assist in printer maintenance and installations as needed
  • Foster an attitude that reflects the values of East Cooper Baptist Church
  • Be part of the technology team to make sure ministries are supported through programs and events, such as Sunday morning child check-in
  • Work alongside the Technology Manager to help implement new technology

Job Title: Nursery Caregivers

The ECBC Nursery Department desires to hire Nursery Caregivers to help with various day and evening ministry events. Workers must be at least 15 years of age and must provide previous experience caring for children. The Nursery Department will train each new Caregiver hired. The Nursery Caregiver is to provide care for the overall needs of each child in their classroom. The Nursery Care Giver is an hourly paid position. Adults $10.00 per hour and Teens $8.00 per hour. Job Title: High School Ministry Associate

Position Summary
The High School Ministry Associate will help lead the High School Ministry by assisting leadership, staff, and volunteers in a variety of ways. The position is split between administrative responsibilities and a personal ministry with students. The primary administrative responsibilities are event and retreat planning, oversight of the ministry’s finances, and communication to leaders, students, and parents. The associate’s personal ministry will be to high school girls and high school leaders and will involve relationship building, evangelism, and discipleship.

Working Relationships
Works directly with the High School Pastor/Director, other staff members, adult Sunday leaders, Sunday Night Live and high school connect groups and student life groups.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Development of ministry goals and vision
  • Logistics, scheduling, and administration of ministry events: Sunday morning worship, Sunday Night Live, retreats and trips, and weekly connect groups and student life groups
  • Communication throughout the ministry: preparing and sending of flyers, newsletters, emails, and reminders to staff, students, and parents as needed
  • Ministry finances: oversight of ministry budget and completion of expenditure and reimbursement forms
  • Relationship building, evangelism, and spiritual development with girls in the ministry
  • Personal and weekly discipleship with high school student leaders, geared towards preparing them and aiding them in their ministry and leadership

Job Title: Contemporary Worship Director

Position Summary
The Contemporary Worship Director is responsible for the planning and execution of the contemporary worship services. This includes creating the order of worship, training and leading of the worship band, leading the contemporary service and assisting in leadership of combined services, and managing volunteers and staff members involved in worship.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Planning/leading the contemporary worship service

  • Responsible for selecting the songs, hymns, readings, etc. for worship as well as providing the musicians with the proper resources to learn the selected songs (i.e. charts, orchestration, lyrics, audio files)
  • Responsible for recruiting musicians to help them to use their gifts and talents in the church
  • Schedules volunteers and staff members that are involved in the contemporary worship service

  • Responsible for leading the band in rehearsal and worship and shepherding of its members
  • Mentoring the next generation of young worship leaders/band members through PCA and ECBC Ministries

  • Assist with other church-wide shepherding needs as situations arise

  • Conduct new member and baptism interviews
  • Meet with those in need of pastoral care
  • Help with welcome and announcements on Sunday mornings and other key events

  • Participate in staff development, meetings, and other church-wide events

  • Help to develop the overall creative arts in the life of the church, including (but not limited to) songwriting for the church

Position Summary
Palmetto Christian Academy is seeking a part-time Food Services Assistant for the 2021-22 school year. The preferred candidate will have previous experience dealing with the public in a customer service role and/or have established relationships with PCA parents.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Ensuring that all meals are correctly prepared and are within acceptable time limits; verifying that all meals meet quality standards
  • Managing the receiving, storing, and inventory control of all perishable and non-perishable products following specific procedures and standards
  • Controlling waste and effectively managing costs
  • Maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe kitchen environment
  • Following standardized recipes, writing menus, and monitoring product costs
  • Willing to work with kitchen staff in preparing daily salads, meals, and desserts
