Growing up in East London as a Roman Catholic, Derek Walden disconnected from the church (where mass was still held in Latin) but maintained a belief in God. Despite a seemingly stable life and career, he struggled with identity and an understanding of faith until a sermon about works and righteousness made him realize his need for genuine salvation through Christ. He accepted Christ’s sacrifice and now has a desire to see others who are secular Christians come to a true saving faith in Christ.
