Leland Brown grew up looking for affirmation and acceptance from others, putting his hope in success that came from sports and affection from the opposite sex. Despite achieving his goals, he felt empty and miserable until a difficult night led him to feel the weight of his sin. After his Christian friends explained that God not only wanted to save him but also accept Leland as his child, Leland committed his life to Christ and eventually was able to find true joy in Him.
