The eldest of five boys in a missionary family, Dave Bruner was immersed in the teachings of the gospel from a young age but didn’t fully commit to Christ until midway through his Naval career. Confronted by his Commanding Officer with the harsh reality that he had not been giving himself 100% to the Navy, Dave also realized he hadn’t been giving himself 100% to the Lord either. Realizing he had been going through the motions in his spiritual life, he earnestly prayed for change, which sparked spiritual renewal and ignited a newfound passion for church, Scripture, and sharing the gospel.
